Syrian dad and his son Adana

Adana, Turkey.

“Here in subcity life is hard..”

An uprising against the president of Syria 10 years ago turned into a full-scale civil war. The conflict has left half a million people dead, devastated cities and drawn in other countries. Over 13.2 million Syrians had been forcibly displaced at the end of 2019. At least 6.7 million of them have left the country (more than half of them lives in Turkey), with the rest moving within Syria.
