Almost a month ago, a huge series of earthquakes hit a large area of my beloved country, Turkey. Casualties and level of destruction are beyond imagination. 11 cities are totally rubbled down, affecting more than 14.000.000 people. Our children have been and still are experiencing a huge trauma. With our project „More than words.“ I am starting to give photography workshops to our suffering children in the region. The motives are going to be chosen to motivate and to socially gather them with other children in the area. Afterwards we are going to collect their photos and exhibit them all around Turkey and in other countries of the world. The aim is to focus our children‘s minds to creativity rather than the rubbles around them. I hope I can at least put some smile on our children‘s faces..
Good to see smiling faces in this hard times!
What a wonderful thing to do…!!
There will certainly be infinite and deep smiles in their hearts, not just on their faces, Ugur. More than words… pertinent to the choice of the name of the project, which I wish to be blessed in what you are proposing and far beyond what you imagine!!
Uncontained tears of pain in the countless reports that I follow about. Jubilant for each one rescued and reports of brothers who left the buildings in time, now the emotion for your commitment to this project and others that I have followed. May you continue to post. My prayers and love!
What a very wonderful way to reach out to these dear children! Bless them and you. ❤️
